Hi! I’m Sam Morgan, a filmmaker, screenwriter, editor, and videographer. I’m the founder and director of Picture’s Up Productions, a student filmmaking team based in North Georgia. Our YouTube channel, dedicated to our films and behind-the-scenes videos as well my as media industry/analysis video essays, has amassed over 12,000 subscribers since I started it as a high school freshman in 2021.

My films have screened in festivals all around the United States, most notably at the Austin Film Festival (Young Filmmakers Winner 2021), Atlanta High School Film Festival (Best Overall 2023 and 2024) and the All American High School Film Festival (Best Micro-Movie 2023, Best Comedy 2024, and Winner of the 2023 Winter Invitational). I was the salutatorian of North Hall High School’s Class of 2024 and am currently majoring in Entertainment & Media Studies (EMST) at the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

In the summer of 2025, my directorial debut feature film, Death, Love, & Birthdays, premiered in my hometown of Gainesville, Georgia to its first public audience. The film will release on YouTube in 2026.

I’m currently working as a videographer for Tim Denson’s campaign for mayor of Athens-Clarke County, which includes the UGA campus.
